Royal Salinger Kitchen Renovation
What did the customer need from their kitchen renovation?
The client needed more space – the client has two young kids, who both needed a proper space for their homework. Also, with the current set-up, the kitchen was small, and not functional. Plus, it was too closed off from the rest of the home. The clients wanted a more functional space, with better organization, and more storage. They also wanted a better “flow” to their home – and to open up space more.
How did All Canadian Renovations find the solution or address these items?
We created a new design that involved the removal of two walls – one being load-bearing. After proper engineering was in place, and all appropriate permits pulled by ACR (Structural, Plumbing, and Electrical), we opened up the space greatly. A large island was included in this project, to allow for a better eating space for the family, as well as a great spot for homework! The design included a new, more functional layout, along with better organization, and more storage!
What were the unique aspects of this kitchen renovation project?
A much more open space, with a feature island to boot! There were some challenges with HVAC, and flooring (blending new into existing) – but we overcame them all.
What was the result of this kitchen renovation?
This kitchen included a beautiful quartz countertop and vinyl tile flooring. Our sub-trades that worked on this project were: engineers, plumber, electrician, in addition to our in-house employees. We’re proud to have created a beautiful new kitchen that is now the feature of the home. At the final reveal stage – one of the client’s kids made the best comment ever – “Oh mom! Our kitchen looks like it came from a magazine!”
