Kitchen, Dining, and Living Room Renovation in Lindenwoods

ACR renovated and remodeled most of the main floor of this home in Lindenwoods (kitchen, dining room, hall, and entertainment room) to update it to a modern design aesthetic and to open up the space with brighter lighting. The current layout wasn’t as functional as it could be, with the clients not using the dining room as a result, and the dated light fixtures didn’t provide sufficient lighting for their needs making the space appear dreary. With dim lighting and no renovations in 25 years, it was time for a major upgrade.

Structurally, the biggest challenge was removing the load-bearing wall that split the space. Two beams were installed that transferred the load to the new main support post which in turn transferred the load to the floor joists below. With the structural components in place, ACR then moved onto the main renovations.

We added a larger island with a quartz countertop for additional counter space and for an entertaining area. All new cabinets were installed, new fixtures and hardware, and all new flooring were the main design changes. Vinyl tile brightened up the space and we sourced hardwood flooring to match the existing flooring. ACR staff walked the client through the product selection process for hardware, lighting, and materials used in the renovations.

Designer lighting hardware and pot lighting brightened the space immensely to better show off the custom wood shelving and storage cabinets.

This updated space is more inviting, bright, and conducive to social gatherings and is used more than ever by the family.
